2010-2011 15x7 Aluminum 10 tear drop hole wheels

ugly. lol. Not my cup of tea because they're only 7" wide and are sucked way in with a 4.5" backspace. They do look good though...classic looks. BUT, had they been 8" and had a 4" backspace, my opinion on them would be ALOT different. Luckily, the aftermarket...hell the manufacturer Alcoa has options for me.

It's the internet bro, this is not a hate free zone. If I paint my truck pink and everyone says "UGLY" then that's what it is. Everyone isn't going to say "i think it's beautiful in its own right" and sing Kumbayah. Anyways, I gave an opinion. You didn't design those wheels. I simply stated (in my own words) that I think they're pretty ugly. If you felt hurt then that's your problem, you girl.
Give your son two years and he will talk like that, I promise ya. I'm a lot closer to his age than you are.

How do you figure they're skimping? These are chrome alloy wheels ... and they're not cheap to manufacture. Especially that design.

Doesn't look chrome at all. Notice how much the second set shines.
Ugly mazda wheels
chrome hoss XD
Anyways, the fact they're using a design that apparently members were buying in the 90s shows that maybe they're burning through old inventory since the rangers are going out of production in a year.

This is true.... they're machined aluminum and I think they may even be clearcoated. In fact, you can't get chrome or polished wheels on a Ranger or Maz anymore. The only brilliant shiny wheel now is actually a snap-on wheel cover. lol.
And yeah...Ford didn't wanna create a new wheel or spend the dough for developing a new wheel for the 2010's since Ranger's been 3 foot in the grave for the better part of a decade, so they whipped up a wheel that's been around on another brand for 10 years and called it new for 2010 Ranger(because supposedly nobody outside the ranger world knows a Mazda IS a Ranger).
Anybody else getting a kick out of this(and other) threads??? lol.

mine are similar to 3 but they have a flat surface near the outter edge and are alot better looking (imo) and not seen as much, same as 4. they're out there but not in the numbers like 1 or 3.
i agree with the overstock comments. especially when ford has a trim level called FEL. i've posted in another thread that i think it means Find Everyting Left.

I wish Ford would have changed them up some more over the years. they had alotta time to come out with some killer wheels and then we would have better stock choices. IMO the wheel makes the vehicle.
You can take pretty much ANY vehicle and spice it up with a nice set of wheels. IF the wheels look very good and they SUIT the vehicle, then WOW. it really pops and grabs alot of attention.
Which Explorer / Sport Trac wheels were available that we could use.... anyone have a cool handy chart of pics like the first one posted in the thread?

oh brand new... my bad. I worked at the Ford Dealership for 4 years. When customers wanted different wheels off of a different truck we would swap em. Anything for a sale. AND on a few cars one summer we NEEDED to sell 2 more vehicles to meed a ford bonus quota. u shoulda seen those deals lol below cost. Guess the bonus was bigger than losses lol.

Uhh, obviously you like them so they're not bad wheels to you. There's a million rangers, that 25K can buy ANY ranger combination you want.
