305/70/16 On stock rims

Would they work on a stock 16x7 rim?
its basically a 33x12
oh yeah it would be for a stock 4x4 01 ranger.

That tire is way too wide for a 7" wheel and it will rub.

dont really have the money to get new rims right now, plus no where to store them.
7 inch rim with a 12 inch tire, i think the folks at the tire shop would think im nuts.
