33x12.5x15 bs

i'm getting my tax return, apparently, tomorrow, so i plan to be ordering my km2's damn quick, i'm going to be ordering the 33x12.5x15's i'm just curious, as i am getting rims to go with them (hopefully used) but what is the minimum back spacing for my 07 fx4 l2? (3" pa going on first) and with that spacing, how far will the 12.5's stick out, past the flares?

p.s. people in vancouver area, bc, if you have rims for sale, please let me know, as my dad is going to be driving to calgary in his fitty, and can bring them out, if i like them...

Anything between 3.25-4 inches is ideal. 3.25 will make the tire stick out .75" more.

I just bought some 33x12.5 KO's on 15x8's with 3.75 backspacing. With a BL, there shouldn't be any rubbing, and they dont' stick out too far and I don't have flares.

search much?

3.25-4" is ideal. IMO...15x8 and 4" is perfect for flared or non flared trucks if you're looking for slightly beefier stance, yet not way sticking out of the fender.

Agreed. Flareless truck I would go 4, flared truck I would go 3.75

I had 3.25 with a 11.5" wide tire on my flared ranger and it was perfect IMO.

i did try searching, tryied a few key words, and a few threads of each, but got frustrated and gave up after not finding anything that helped, i know it has been answered on here several times though...

i want the beefy stance for sure, i mean, the stock rim and tire package looks kinda ***** to me, especially with the flares... i'm thinking about an inch of tire out of the flare i'm going to start looking for 15x8 and 3.75ish

Go take a peek at the Ultra Nomad thread. TONS of pics and info I posted there regarding backspace and size...

If you're wanting just outside the flare, I'd seriously go 15x10 with a big backspace.....like 4". That's how mine is now and it sticks outside the flare about 1.5". 8 w/ 3.75 isn't going to do that for ya.

i'll check that out right now... i should add that one thing i have ALWAYS thought was SEXY on a truck, is the dish look on rims, this kind of idea...

lol, that's a little extreme, i took a look at that thread, i don't like those rims, but them on that jeep looked sick... i saw the pics of your truck on the second page, and that's all i'm looking for, at most... you said you have 15x10 w 4? so let me just see if i understand, if i were to take your exact tires, and same model rim, but 8 inch wide (still 4" bs) it would be 2" less tire showing, so like half an inch from the lip?

I suggest you own one before clowning on one.....

120k on stock wheel bearings(50k of that on 35's and 10" steel wheels, 20 more on 8" steel and 32's). Stock BJ's were toast at about 70k anyway, new ones went on just before 35's went on. Stock TRE's lasted 120k which is surprising because most folks don't get that much STOCK.

Again....I'm on 35x12.50's w/ 15x10" steel wheels w/ 4" backspace.

Correct me if i'm wrong...your sig even says 15x10's on 33's....correct?

sort of but a 12.5 on a 8" wheel makes the side wall bulge over the tire

I wasn't so much suggesting the wheel....I was referring you to all the backspace pics and info I posted within the thread.

Same backspace, same tire width, but different wheel width.....yes. you'll be in 2" compared to my current wheels. all in that thread....

but it keeps a bead better than a 10 when aired wayyyy down....and even then, 10's down in the single digits still hold. 12.50's and 8's are very very common.

Then you need to quote and arrow it like I've been doing. Or mention "orange thing" or "scion" or whatever. That eliminates all confusion. Thanks for playing. lol.

lol, ok, so i'm thinking either a 15x8 with 3.25 or a 15x10 with 4, which should give me close to the same, right? (x8 w/3 or x10 w 4 should be damn close if i am doing my math right)

and at this point, it depends on what i can find...
