Max tire size

I have a 2002 Ranger XLT 4x2 and I need new tires. I went to the thread that had all the max tire sizes for whatever truck and it only listed 15x7 rims under my truck. I went outside and measured my rims to be sure and I got 15x8. Could I be measuring wrong or is the chart a little wrong?

Thanks

where the tires off the rims? or did you measure the tire width?.... as far as i know 99.9999% of all stock rims are 7inches wide...

but if you are infact 8" wide, that wont matter at all...

you have to measure the inside bead to properly measure it not to the outside lip

My Hubcap and rim:

I measured an approximate measurement of the width from the inside of the spokes of the hubcap. I tried seeing if they could have been 15x7 and the tape measure didn't reach the whole width of the rim. I bought my truck used but the rims seem to be stock with hubcaps.

Then what tire size of BFG A/T would really fill my wheel well out nicely without rubbing?

that is a 15x7 stock steel wheel. and like i listed in the wheels and tires section on the stickyed thread a 30x9.5x15 is the biggest you can go with no problems 31x10.5x15 sometimes rub...
