any body have 15x8 that stick out of the fender wells

i want to get some new wheels but i want to have them stick out. not a stupid amount but just about an inch or 2 more then the fender flares....but it seem like every one with tires that stick out nice have 10 inch wide rims..so im wondering if i should wait to get some 33/12.5 and some 15x10 instead of 15x8's now and 31's. since u cant put 31/10.5 on a 15x10 wheel. and i need to regear b4 33's so im wondering if i should just wait or if a 15x8 with 3.25 BS and a 33/12.5 will look good. thanks

a 15x8 w/ 3.625 or 4.000 bs w/ 12.50s or 11.50s will put the outside of the tire just about to the outside of the flare.

IMO go with the 33x12.50 tire and the 15x10 rim with 3.75 backspacing

yes you can run up to a 12.50 on 8" wheels. I have ran 12.50's on 7" wheels with no problems.

I was waiting for somebody to say that.

33x10.5 BFG A/T KO tires mounted on Eagle Alloy 057s with 3.25" backspacing. I don't have fender flares, but it looks like they'd stick out a little bit past them.

So what backspacing do i need if i get 20x9 inch rims and 35x12.50s? I have 16x8s with 4 7/16 backspacing and my tires are even with the fender flares.

Good to see there's someone else out there not stupified by 12.50inch tires. Our trucks + extra centrifical mass = suspension component repairs. Not to mention the off-road benefits of a 10.50inch tire over a 12.50. Initiate link whoring...

yeah narrower tires are better hence tires on a geo metro are ideal for off-roading.

I had 15x8's w/3.75 BS with 32x11.50's on my Ranger when I got rid of it. They stuck out just enough. It's like one of the above posted, it's all in hte backspacing. Here are a few pics of the old truck. I don't know if you will be able to really see how much they stuck out though, but you would get the idea:
