Painting DC-1's

Hey guys, I was just wondering about painting my dc-1's. I see there are some guys painting with the dupli-color and stockers, but what about dc-1's? Mine are like just gone and look gross and the only way to get a shaved rotor's rust off of them is like course steel wool. And of course I'm scratching them to hell doing that....why not just paint them but even if the dc-1's are polished? Thanks.

took off the bolts and stuck sh!tty lowes bolts in there to keep powdercoat outta the threads. then taped off the bead area to keep overspray off the surface.
