35's on 15x8's or 15x10's with Classic II's or Rock Crawlers

Ok, my trucks bright island blue. I have a black grille with the headlight mod (soon to match ) and I'm wondering a few things.

I've fully decided (after talking to a few people) that I want 35's. I need to get a 8.8 rear with 4.10's and preferably LS (if you know of one for sale...PM me PLEASE!!!)

I don't know weather to get 15x8's or 15x10's
or
Classic II's or Rock Crawlers

If anyone has pictures of the above setups, please post em. I've seen red fx2's truck (brians old lift) and it looks awesome, but I think 10" wide would look great. But his truck is red, and mine is blue, and I have kinda a black theme going (black grill, dark windows, etc.)

I've seen bills truck plenty and it looks awesome, I wouldn't mind his wheels/tires, but the question is, should I get the MT Classic II's or Black rock crawlers?

well I voted the classic two's but I just changed my mind, I think you get the crawlers since they are cheaper and then use that extra money to powdercoat them white. Everyone has black crawlers

Thats what I was thinking, stick with the black theme. I just need someone to back me up on it. I don't like chrome/blue....I like rockcrawlers...and 15x10's will push that tire out nicely!

I need an 8.8!!!!!

ive got a 7.5 now. I am searching for an 8.8 like crazy right now. Thats the next step as of right now. I have the cash (well not cash, but the money, it's in my checking acct) for one. I think I found an 8.8 w/ 4.10's and LS on car-part.com that they will deliver to me (it's like 100 miles away)

I belive it would not be too much of a problem (if i don't beat my truck up offroad, etc) to run 35's until i find the new axle. or until my old one breaks actually

I can't see my 7.5 being a problem...I dunno though, 35's can do some damage so I've heard.

I think i'm going with 15x10 rock crawlers. I like em, they are inexpensive, and 10" wide w/ 35's will look awesome!

I know man...I wasn't a fan of black wheels at all! I just think chrome might look out of place on my truck. I dunno, it's like arguing which girl is hotter...it's in the eye of the beholder

I say go with the 15X10 rock crawlers. I think it would look wierd with the headlight mod and a black grill and chrome wheels.

I know...everyone just stood behind me with the rock crawlers, which was my gut instinct. I can't see my wheels on a black/blue truck being chrome...wouldn't look good.

If you are going to air down offroading much: 15x8's. I spent a lot of time this last meet aired down to 12 psi with no problems.

When you use a wider wheel, it's easier to break the bead when aired down. For looks, the 15x10 is way better. For performance offroad without beadlocks, the 15x8 is a better choice. I'm running the 15x8's with 35x12.5x15's. If you read the offroad mags you'd be surprised how many people run this combination for bead retention.

Thats something to think about! Thanks Mr. Griggs

BTW, I got my pulley and belt...I installed it, super easy and it works awesome. i lost some voltage though, i need another overdrive alt pulley, the one i bought wouldn't fit, so i ordered one from underdog. Thanks again!

Good! I wondered whether you got it or not. That's a relief. You scared me before. How do you prove you shipped it if you didn't opt for verification? I think I may opt for that in the future, lol.

I think black wheels look great in the sense they make a vehicle look a lot more like its offroading. Chrome/polished aluminum is a more "showy" look to it while black is no-frills and makes a vehicle jus look different.

Theres really no proof. Just opt for verification. Its way better. Thats why I ship UPS, it's so much better as far as insurrance and such goes. They seem to "care" a lot more about packages (as far as being lost/stolen) and their package verification is 10 fold of USPS.

I like black. It's easier to maintain, cheaper, cleaner, and I like the overall look. You guys helped a bunch! Thanks for everyone that helped me make the decision! Wheels should be ordered by the end of the month!

I'm with John on this one if you plan on airing down at all go with 15x8's. I have ran my 33x12.50x15 SSR's on 15x8's down to 8psi with no problems.
