Can anyone help with tire sizes...

Ok well im gettin 20's soon and sometime after that I want to put some offroad tires on those 20's (as well as a little lift).

Can anyone tell me what these tire sizes mean.....I dont know anything about tires....

LT 285/55R20/D
LT 325/60R20/D

What I need to know is about how big are those tires and about how much of a lift would I have to put on my '00 XL to fit those....

Any help would be appreciated.....

Awww, you wanna lift it, stay low with the 20's. Those big tires are gonna rape you wallet.

with a 20" rim, i dont think you can get enough backspacing to clear the width of a 285, to keep it from rubbing. much less a 325
