IMO...stock caps painted FTW!

 

Here's my 15x7 Pacer steel wheels with the Pacer center caps. The stock center caps from my 14x5.5 rims weren't compatible.

I have the round ones posted above. they look like crap compared to the painted/chrome stock ones. I'm buying stockers asap

It might be hard to tell in this pic but I just bought some standard chrome ones and painted them black, however I do like how shane and scott did theirs better tho

But those caps wouldn't work for me cuz I have open lugs all around and manual hubs up front, so I'm not even running caps up front for that reason..

 

Im glad Im not the only one running aftermarket wheels with stock center caps.

 

What color paint did yall use on the stock center caps?

 

How do you like the wrangler mt's? i'm looking at possibly getting them or the bfgoodrich mt's.

 

I know I dont have soft 8's...but black steel wheels apply to this thread...am i not correct?


I first cleaned 'em up really well, dried 'em off. Then masked the oval. Then on went 3 coats of Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter. Then on went Rust Oleum Gloss Black Enamel.

That paint is really durable too....RIGHT after installing them, and they were still kinda tacky, i accidently kicked a cap when slipping off my tires while getting into the bed of the truck. the cap looks like nothing happend to it.

LOVE THEM!! Loud on the street, but tear it effin' up in snow. Best unsiped mud terrains ever!! These things have no hydroplaning problems at high speeds on the freeway while pouring down rain and wet roads. They are SOOO much better of rain performers compared to my old Toyo A/T's that are sipped from the factory AND sipped from the tire shop...those things were wicked scary.

I've had 3 sets of BFG MT's on othertrucks including the ranger. Great tires...love 'em to death. I'm likely getting BFG KM2's here in the spring/early summer using the good ole tax return.
