Backspacing

I have found a set of rims I'm in love with, but I don't want to cause any problems. I have read on the forum that the ideal range for backspacing without causing undue strain on other components is 3.25 - 4.

The rims I am looking at are 17x9, with backspacing of 6.55. I can get a 2" spacer to reduce it to 4.55, but will this still be an issue with other axle and suspension components?

These are them...

bad.......you HAVE to have something 4.25 or less for it not to hit suspension parts when you install them...

Alright, these would work in 17x8, or 17x9. The 8" has a 5.24" BS, and the 9" has a 5.95 BS. With either set, I would need to run spacers, 1.5" for the 8 and at least 2" for the 9. Do those spacers make the rims look like butt? I know they're behind the wheel, but ...

Thoughts?
