Opinions Wanted

I currently have M/T Classic Locks with the polished lock rings on my truck.

I'm thinking about either buying some different-colored lock rings or having my polished ones powder-coated (transparent finish). I'm leaning towards either red or blue-either would work with what is going on with my truck. Black is not an option for me. Might also consider scuffing the rings for a "brushed" look. Any and all opinions are appreciated. Pics would be helpful too.
Thanks
MikeR

Red or black. Even though you said black wasn't an option.

I love those wheels. Those were the ones I wanted to get...
Now because I gotta be different, I gotta get something else :)

Oh, and get new rings

If I had them... I would go red or black. I have red on the engine and red in the interior tho... why are you wanting red or blue ?

I would say red. It will be different.

A brushed look wont really be noticeable. Do you have plans to make anything else on your truck red? Like maybe the emblems or something?

What about DSG? I have stock wheels with DSG painted inserts. Red would look good if you had the FX4 decal with the red in it.

DSG would look cool... I think red or blue would stand out too much. Unless you mean a darker shade?

I'd paint them lime green or something neon, and I'm totally serious

For the blue, I was thinking about the ones like Patrick has on his badass blue steppie that he rebuilt. For either red or blue, i was probably going to have them powdercoated in the translucent coating; the ones that M/T has pre-finished seem kinda "dead" in the pictures that I've seen of them. Translucent has a lot more "pop" and life to them.

That sounds like it'd look decent. I was thinking you were just going to do them a solid red or blue colour!

Thanks, everbody!
General concensus seems to be red, with was my original thought. I'm going to e-mail a couple of powder coating shops to see how much it will cost to have them coated in the translucent candy red.

I just got a quote back on having them powder-coated candy red with a clear coat--$40 each. I think I'm gonna do it.

Doesn't sound like a bad price at all... it'll really change the look of the truck!
