Getting Wheels, Not sure which ones...

Last week, I posted that i was gettinga laptop from the fiance. She just offered to buy me one one day...I was like, wow that engagement ring works wonders..LOL I guess she just wanted to buy me one...dk but i like!

Well i was browsing 4wheelparts.com, and came across a few wheels that i like/want. i texted them to her to show her what wheels i would like to get someday. well she texted me back and said that i have the choice of either Laptop of new wheels for the Ranger!!! I was like wow, this is hard (ive been wanting laptop)...but i think i have finally come to the decision to get wheels!

Also, im going from a 16"x7" to a 15x8" so that tires are cheaper, plus i like the look of a 15" wheel. I dont want a 10" bc i have no intentions of lifting it right now. The only problem is, once i get them im not putting them on until i need tires as mine now are the 16", when iI have them mounted, i will have some 32X10.50 BFGs put on them (or whatever equivilent of 265/70R16 is..My DD, need the MPG) I want aggressicve look, but still need good mpg

Im reallying leaning towards the new MT Classics II Satin Black (They're Limited Edition so may not be available next month. Id love some DSG Or polished Alcoas, but i dont think i can find mint ones for the same price i can get new aftermarkets. But here are my choices:

1) Mickey Thompson Classic II Satin Black

2) Mickey Thompson Classic II Polished

3) Pro Comp XTreme Alloy Black

4) Pro Comp XTreme Alloy Polished

5) Other: Post pic of suggestion!

BTW: They are going on this truck:

Post a pic of your truck. I'm leaning towards Choice #1 or #3, red and black always look good IMO.

Either #1 or #2. I picked #2 because I like polished rims, they're a b*tch to keep clean though.

thats why im leaning towards the satin black...aint gotta worry as much, especially since i keep my truck looking immaculate! its such a hard decision! i think its between 1 and two for me! i love the classic IIs, but now i gotta worry about the finish. does anyone think the black would chip/flake bad?

I voted #4, but I like #1 also. either of them would looks awesome on your truck, its a matter of if you want to spend a an hour or 2 every other month polishing wheels.

If you got the Satin Black wheels and painted your grill black or red to match your truck it would make your truck would look so f*cking badass.

You have to do it.

gotta have the money to do that! can i borrow some? no really, cant get wheels till next month. i had a lot of expenses this month (engageent ring, beach trip, clubbin, etc...), i gotta get some more $$$ together. after the wheels, I wont be able to do much of anything else to the truck other than tint as i gotta start savin for place to live and wedding!, however, i am going to price them today at my local tire place. 4wheelparts.com as them for 107.99 apiece, im hoping ol' Charlie up here at my tire place can cut me a deal!

just did some price checkingon the Black Satin MT Classic IIs 15x8: Verdict:

1st tire place: $630.00
2nd tire place: $556.40
3rd tire place: $498.00 siad that out of the 640 they made, there were 350 still in the factory. hopefully by next month, there will be enough left for me to get them!

x2. You need to change the grille if you go black.

#1 is the way to go.

Black Satin it is! as soon as i get the money next month, im defitly getting them (as long as they're still available!)...if not ht mT polished is second choice.

as far as grille goes, im going to get an 04-05 honeycomb grille...trade..anyone

also someone school me in BACKSPACING...i have no freakin clue what that is! the Satin Blacks have 3 5/16" backspacing, what does this mean, also, what is hubcnetic mean, and the offset is 58mm, what is this?

Eagle alloy 185's or Procomp Xtreme Alloy Series 8179

I vote the second ones, but I have the first and like them and have no complaints.

You are getting the 15x8's, right? If so, then they have an offset of -30mm. With a backspacing of 3 5/16" and an offset of -30mm they will fit great. Had they had an offset of 58mm then I would be hesitant.

Forgot to add...

Hubcentric means that the wheel is centered or located on the hub by a machined center hole. "Lug centered" wheels are located by the position of the lug nuts alone.

Offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel to the face of the mounting surface of the wheel that contacts the hub.

Backspacing is the distance from the mounting surface to the inside lip of the wheel.

im still so freakin torn between the polished or black MT Classic IIs. NOW I might have a chance to buy some plosihed alcoas for 425 shipped (hes thinkin about it). if he agrees to my offer, i just dont know what to do. ill prolly go with the polished alcoas bc i can get them about $75 cheaper than the MTs. I love the look of the black ones, but i know the polished one would look badass as well! And i know the alcoas will look beast! So far, all poll results go towards the black, but i just dk what to get! im so freakin torn!
