FX4 II rims

will the FX4 II alcoa rims fit other rangers (like my non- level II). at a glance, there isn't much room to fit a smaller rim.

do the FX4 IIs use a smaller rotor? caliper?

i'd like to put on the alcoas but there's no point if they don't fit...

Rotor and caliper is the same 12" on all 4x4s from 2003 1/2 and up. The 15" LII Alcoas will fit your 06 FX4.

i didn't think they'd do anything that dumb like downsize rotors to get on a 15" wheel , but i didn't want to find out the hard way... anyhow, unless i find the alcoa/BFG combo cheap, i'll go to the aftermarked. i'm thinking 17" procomp rims, and maybe Cooper STTs... http://www.procomptires.com/pxa7005.html

they wont fit an edge though due to the spindle snout, better explained- they fit fine but you just cant use the centercaps.

i had that problem when i got my lvl2 and was getting ready to sell the trailhead, i wanted to pull the beadlocks off my trailhead and swap them with the lvl2 wheels but they fit like hell so i abandoned it.

(for future searches)

I can confirm this. I have the alcoa's on my Edge but cannot use the centercaps up front.

I believe that he is referring to the 2WD EDGE. You guys need to be specific, they made the Ranger edge with more than one drive line....

Personally I don't see why they wouldn't fit, but since I don't have em, I guess I can't say for sure....

yes, i was referring to the 2wd. they bolt up fine, like any ranger 5 on a 4.5 wheel, your front center caps just wont fit right. you have to take a dremel tool and grind it out. That is if you want to use your center caps.

fx4wannabe, try it and you will see for yourself.

duders....those danged torsion bars on a 2wd throw me the hell off. My Bad. Maybe it's similar to the mustang cobra rims...trying to fit them on a 2wd coil sprung ranger. Run a 7/16" spacer with longer studs to solve the problem. The disc "hub" is too large to fit the wheel hub opening aka " that hole in the center". I totally understand now. duders, no disrespect here.
