37s, Why not?

Well, its coming down to time for me to get rims/tires to complete my lift and I got the bright idea, why not go 37s? They're like an inch bigger around and cost more. I'll have to get at least 17s to go 37s but I am looking for serious reasons not to.
I know that the front end stuff will wear out a little faster, it will cost more, but I know they will fit. I was planning on 35s and got everything all picked out, but then my imagination kicked in. Somebody give me reason enough to stick with 35s.

I'd imagine you would need to do a good bit of trimming to keep from smashing your front valence. You might would have to take the fender flares off too, which then means you have to (or would really want to) fill the holes left behind.

If you don't do any of that, it's probably going to look really stuffed, and your available amount of suspension travel and turning radius is going to suffer.

Just a few things to consider. If all the measurements check out and you're comfortable with it then by all means go for it!

I went and dug for some pics after I posted the other response. I guess the figment isn't as much of an issue as I thought, just as long as you aren't going to wheel your truck. May have issues at full lock and will wear stuff out quicker.

The biggest problem I see is the backspacing of the rims. Most seem to be 4.5" bs and the 15s were going to be 3.75"

Yeah, backspacing is probably going to be the biggest factor in whether you rub or not. I'm not sure what you should be looking for with 37s though.

37x12.5x20 or 17, not sure yet. Either a 20x10 or 17x10 preferably. I'm trying for 10" wide

because I like to have a little "poke" without having to have incredibly low backspacing. Besides, I'm more focused on the 17,18,or 20x10 right now. I already have everything set up that I want to get if I go with 15s

I feel 15x8s with 12.5 tires would look a little ballooney to me at times since you would have over 2" of tire hanging off the rim on each side.

It really depends on the sidewall. if its weak, it'll look bad on a 10.

With 37s, I'd personally go with a 10" wheel and a tire a little wider than 12.5" Sometimes a 37" tall tire looks way too narrow at 12.5" wide.

I was hoping to get a 13.5 wide tire, but I'm not finding too many, mainly off brands, but that's what happens when you search on eBay. My local stealer is sadly the best place for tires where I live, so I'm going to give them a shot and see what they can come up with as far as availability goes. Best thing is that they price match!

No, I'm not sure on the crossovers. That's some of why I'm going to let them get the info together for me

Not "just for look". The size is not that much different than 35, I'm regearing anyways and figured that I should go with as big as I can. Yes, I will off road some, but I'm in Florida and there isn't a ton of it near me. The kind of people I dont like are moody, arrogant Canadians like you who always feel their opinion is the only thing that matters and that everyone else is below them. I have to put up with enough of it from all the ones that come down here this time of year. Like I've previously mentioned, I already planned on 35s, but am contemplating 37s since they are only a tiny bit bigger than the 35s and are a higher quality tire due to the larger rim.

Personally, my truck stays on the road 99% of the time because the only off road parks we have around here are concerned with big mud holes that are better suited for a side by side than a truck. I'm not going to spend a bunch of money on my truck to sink it in a mud hole and tear it all up. My only off roading is going down an occasional trail at the deer lease.

Similar to me, plus I'll have to go slower with 37s, so maybe no more tickets for me.
