Help with fitting 32's
I'm wanting to put 32" MT's on my truck. I know I can obtain this by cranking the tbars but I don't want to. So my question is, how much lift (inches) do I actually need to fit 32's without rubbing? Will a leveling kit work?
And please do not tell me to get a body lift. I'm not looking to do that.

A leveling kit on a 98+ ranger isn't a smart choice....they do the exact same thing as cranking bars but to an extreme(by in-turn making you overcrank them).
Crank your bars some, you may need to trim your squared off valence corner a little bit, and you'll be golden. OR...if you really just want to clear them w/o touching anything, bodylift the truck or superlift the truck. Only options other than cranking that you have.
(I had 32x11.50's BFG M/T's on mine on 15x8's w/ 4" backspace....had a small torsion crank and only rubbed when fully twawked out suspension(flexed) and full steering wheel crank)

After market torsion lift keys accomplish the same thing that cranking the bars does: changes torsion bar preload, pivots the lower arm down, thus creating lift. But what they keys also do, is put even more avaliable 'twist' on the bars/arm, which in turn screws up balljoint angles, CV shaft angles, and requires you to service joints probably once a year(at about $600 per year). They don't make sense. Just crank the bars.
I started out with 75% tread GoodYear MT/R's....put 50k on them, then they were bald. A good brand tire tend to have very good tread wear. BFG has a thing about gaurenteeing 60,000 miles or something.

Brenda, for what it's worth, here's mine with just a small torsion crank(I want to say 2.5 or 2.75 rotation of the adjustment bolt) and 32x11.50R15 BFG KM1's on 15x8 w/ 4" backspace...
I only rubbed when the suspension was flexed and the steering wheel turned at full lock. Where it rubbed was the inner fender.

Not bad Shane. Thanks
Trent - here they are Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels
See the prob is, my husband has it in his head the cranking tbars is horrible and a levelling kit is better.
