BFG T/A KO 31x10.5 - Issue

So i have BFG TA KO BLAHBLAHBLAHs

31" x 10.5" R15

And i got them 15000 miles ago and yesterday i got them rotated as i do every 2500 - 4000 miles since its free to have done now.

And i found that my tires started at about 16/32 and after 15k miles i am down to 6 - 8 /32's of tread so over half way on a couple of them and at 4 - 5 /32 i get them replaced...

so i am saying yay for 55k treadlife warranty im getting a new set for damn cheap right before snow fall. lucky me..

but i am saying that is pretty crazy the tires are running through that fast. i have had them not even 6 months.

Are you running them at the proper inflation for the truck? not whats listed on the sidewall of the tire. Because I just put 65K miles on a set that I bought USED. I average about 80K miles on each set of those that I run, which gets me about 2 years per set of tires.

Those specifications for "how long the tire will last" is not set in stone. It varies with different driving styles and with different road conditions. And 25k on a set of tires really isn't that bad.

What psi are you running? I've seen all kinds of people who think that the max psi rating on the sidewall is what you're supposed to run at. (it is not)

That's about right. Taking 30000 miles off the life expectancy of a tire isn't that hard to do. Just drive hard, all the time... that will do it. I put around 25000km on a set and drove them hard. There's 12/32nds on the ones I took off the front, 11 on one rear and 10 on the other. I knew the a/ts were coming off and I imagine the 10 came from one wheel peelin it around the corner at the end of my driveway.

Now 25000km is about 15k miles so exactly how much roasting did you do?
It seems a little far fetched to blame anything on all terrains. They're a damn good tire!

ohhh no no i dont blame them per say.. i love the tire.. i just think its not holding up but i know utah doesnt always have the nicest of paving on the freeways and highways but i dont burn much. i think camber is off in the front and its just hard when im on a whindy road at 70. (mtn passes)
