BFG All Terrains - got em...
Hey thanks again for everyones advice. I did decide to go with the BFG AT's and I absolutely love them. Before I had these, I really didn't like the truck, I had the SVT focus and did not want to part with it. I guess now that the truck is no longer in "stock" form, I like it lol. It looks alot better and I like driving the truck. I couldn't afford the 265/75/16's like I had originally planned, but I made due with the 225/75/16's and I saved about 200 dollars all together. I paid 368 dollars for all four from discount tire with 40 dollars per tire trade in. It would have been like 588 for the 265's. The guy told me that the ride quality would go down with the tire and I told him i didn't give a damn and he mounted them. Nothing more to say than I love these tires. I'll post the pics (not that anyone hasn't seen BFG AT's on a ranger LOL) after I re-install photoshop on my computer and change the image size down from 3000 pixels wide.

Stock i had: 235 / 70 / 16.
Personally i dont think they are too narrow of a tire. Sure they dont look super wide and beefy, but wider tires aren't better in the snow. Although, i do prefer zach's on his silver ranger, but like i said, i couldn't afford that. Here's whats pics i have now:
Oh and if you really do think they are too skinny and you think they are ugly, please don't tell me, you'll just make me regret getting them...

Of course tires can improve or detract from ride quality.
The taller the sidewall, the depth/type of treads, the compounds the tire is made out of will ALL impact your ride quality.
Thus better tires are more expensive because they use more advanced compounds that are specifically designed for whatever purpose. An example of extremely specific niche tire is the BFG Krawler, it is designed to run at low PSI, extremely forgiving and flexible and made to be "shaped" to your own specs...very specific compounds for that tire.

In the one close up pic from up front they dont look that skinny, but yea as soon as you compare them to some people around here who run 315 and wider on there tires they look like bicycle tires!
