how can I get lighter wheels on my ranger 2.3L 2wd

I've been researching different wheel bolt patterns from small compact cars. And some have 5x4.5 patterns with slightly smaller bore centers 67mm compared to my 70.3mm center bore (that I can open up with a file) but the stud holes are only 12mm instead of the 1/2'' that is .7mm smaller. Do you think there would be enough play in those wheels to slid onto a 1/2" stud? I really don't want to look at mustang wheels, because of their size. Short of me spending a day at the junk yard can anyone point me in a direction. I will consider some sort of adapter or even fitting new lug bolts in my hubs if that would work. thanks guys. p.s. I just putt around the city and want to transform my ranger into a mileage king.

what you should be more worried about is offset and back spacing.

welp I wasn't gonna worry about that until I found a wheel that will clear the 1/2" studs. guess Ill have to do it the hard way.
