Lets talk tires
Im going to be getting new tires in a few days and want to know what I should get. They are for 17" x 8" wheels......(mustang bullets). I dont know much about the low profile tires. I want to keep the factory tire height of about 26". Original tire size is 225/70/15. I dont want to spend anymore than about $100 a tire if possible. Im also wanting a good looking tire.......so with all that said, what tires should I get? Also I need 5/16" spacers for the front wheels..........what brand should I get and would autozone have them, and how much will they cost?

spacers really there is no specific brand auto zone should carry some there like $8 each..
on tires any tire for 17" a good tires is well over $100 a tire to get $100 a tire you would have to buy like Sumocumo's <spelling wrong but ya. stay away from Nanoking there a cheap tire also but god are they horrible...

17" factory replacement would be around a 255/50/17 for an 8" wheel.
check out tire rack for inexpensive tires. i like kumhos. they are cheap and good quality. these look cool:

i ran KUMHO ECSTA 711 in a 245/45/17 on my lowered truck for about 2 years, they are a GREAT tire, perform wonderful in on dry payment, and yes they are a High Performance Summer Tire, so i swapped to stock rims/tires in the winter. They are now listed at 67apiece at tirerack (close out sale)... I dont think thats something to pass up. Hell, i got stock replace tires for 75 each, so 100 per tire is not a bad deal. There ARE good brands out there for under 100, you just have to look...
Oh, i also ran some Goodyear Eagles which i got for around 100each too

Try these prices are pretty good still, I had them on my cobra r's lasted a long timeeven with f''ed up camber.

Get the best tire you can afford, whatever the brand.
Key things, when getting them installed you might want to really consider wheel weights on the INSIDE of the wheel to keep your "look" nice and clean. You'll sacrifice a LITTLE ride/balance quality but its worth it and besides for that "small" of a tire balancing probably won't be THAT big of a deal.

Scotty G had a set of 235/50(?)/17's on a set of 17inch wheels. They fit well on his lowered truck.
Teh most common 17inch tire will be 245/45/17 ( Mustang factory ) and EVERYONE makes a tire that size.. the problem is, its ' smaller ' then what your looking for.
The taller the tire, generally, they skinnier they make it. Sidewall bias on wider tires is tough to support and liabilities on such tires cost millions ( lawyers from tires giving out/accidents ).
Im moving down to a 26.5 inch tire. I understand you want to keep the original ride height, but its going to be tough endless your looking for ' cheepies ' tires.

Those RS-A's are lamb-basted by most on websites but.. honestly...
.. I go through snow without ANY issues. Those RS-A's were bettwe tires in the snow then BilZZak's, certified snow tires!
