Anyone use/run this tire?

I am looking at it for the Bronco II. I know, I know, they are not BFG's, but I am on a TIGHT budget for this project.......

I ran them on my truck. Got about 30,000 miles out of them. They handled very well for a mud tire, and had great traction off road. Once my body lift is on, those are the tires that are going back on it.

what size are you thinkin about getting

 

probably some 30x9.5x15's with 2" of lift or 31x10.50x15 with a 4" lift....

 

Worst tire I EVER had! Wore like CRAZY I would recommend the buckshot mudders over those and I didn't like those either.

You get what you pay for though.

 

I ran the Rover r/t's on my plow truck and they were great in the snow.But as Roach says they wear terrible , especially on dry pavement.

 

what about mud kings? or mastercraft mud terrains?

 

i forgot about Mastercraft tires....they are good tires too!

 

Not that great of a tire, had them on maybe a year before I got rid of them. Off road they did not grip that well. After I got my mt/rs I would crawl over places that would just spin with the mud rovers. They were loud and wore funny.

But they have a hard rubber which held up good to the mesquite trees around me, which has lots of thorns.

 

I'd look for Mastercrafts, Coopers S/Ts, or an off brand like Wildcat EXT.

 

Go to pep boys, they have a set of M/T's for a buy three get one free deal and it was like $100 a tire. They were an off brand of cooper I believe.

 

Only thing I know about the Rovers from past discussions over the years is that they are pretty good offroad, but have very weak sidewalls. Not for rocks for sure.

Like any unsiped mud, they would suck on the street in the rain.

 

i think i am going to go with the Mastercraft M/T's......they look pretty good:


a 31x10.5x15 Mastercraft Courser M/T has a section width of 10.5", a overall diameter of 30.5", and a tread of 8.3 on a 8" wide wheel......sounds good to me!

 

Looks good just dont go for the Dunlops and you will be fine!

 

my buddy has dunlops on his jeep,, 32 11.5 they go awesome!! have over 20k on them, do great on trail,, better in mud,, i would recomend them/,.,.,

 

Just go to 1:40 into this vid and you can see the difference. The first three attempts is when I had mud rovers and the last one where I crawled over it and made it look simple is when I had mt/rs. There are a lot of places that I just crawl over now that would spin with mud rovers.
