I got a friend that has a set of 33s of these tires sittin on his dodge thats needs a tranny, he is willin to sell them, and wants me to make an offer..

they got bout half left maybe a little less...ive been searching to find info on them but i cant find any..

What should i offer him?

 

I wouldn't take more then $50 a tire considering they only have 50% tread left or less

 

They are Cooper Discoverer (Not Discovery, lol) STT's and they are well documented on Cooper's site. The new STT is different. I presume these are radial STT's? If so there is some info here: http://www.coopertires.com/us/en/Pro...ht+Truck+Tires

There is a newer version of the STT, but I doubt the ones you're look at are them.

The STT's are a "true mud tire" -- large lugs and spacing and NO siping. They will be good in deep snow, mud and so on but not in rain. Not a preferred street tire but something you deal with in order to get the advantages offroad, lol.

 

John i had these tires for over 20000 miles. there crappy in damn near any snow. acully not bad at all in rain except when they wear down it gets scary other then that there fine just have to drive like your on mudders but its 100% managable. and they just KICK *** in mud and dirt they eat everything alive.

 

i looked at those last night those arnt the same pattern...ill get a pic of the tire today, thats why i was kinda confused it was dark last night when i looked at them and the only light that i had was my headlights and my hellas in my grill but i will get a pic today...but i was gunna say 50 a tire so 170 cuz he already owes me 30 for a tow truck to get him out of the mud...

 

Hmmm...are they ST's then and not STT's?

I have and have had ST's and they are pretty much the ideal "compromise" tire to my mind. They did well in everything, excelled in a few areas, and just generally made me very happy.

Well, let us know what you're looking at exactly when you can.

lol I had my stock tires

then some free 32 street tires

then some free 33s street tires never got installed tho

now i got some free STTs

once these last me some while and i keep bringin in the cash 3" body lift will be introduced to me along with Mr. Buckshot, and Mr. Classic II

then we will have a nice little get togehter at my friends shop and we will introduce them all to Mr. 2004 Ranger..lol
