What size tires you running stock? I'm assuming 235/70-16's?
You could do it and be fine, but you'll have to run a 35 series tire. Like 255/35 or so. How wide do you plan on going?

Or you can purchase a set of 20s already on tires off of a Ford Edge.....and you'd have no problems. They are 5x4.5, same with the new Explorers and Lincoln crossover. You could do it all Ford stock and have a look no one has.

I'm thinking anyone wanting to put 22's on probably isn't going for the stock look. lol
I was just thinking, you could run a 40 series and it'll be about an inch taller than stock which would be fine on your truck.

Just because you say not to be an *** doesn't make you not look like one. Hes not asking for opinions, he's asking for information.

Like everyone else said, tire size will make a big difference. I would find a shop that will let you test fit them before purchasing, I know Discount Tire here does that.

Like everyone said, it is all a matter of backspacing and tire size. As long as over width and diameter isn't increased too much, and the center of the tire is close to the same position as stock it will generally be fine.
We would need to know more about tire size, wheel width and backspacing to help you make a better call, or talk to a tire shop.
