Looking for a wicked A/T tire, wat u guys recommend?

Ive ran the BFG A/Ts before and loved em. did well in the dirt, and were excellent in the rain. I want to try something new though, im currently runnign BFG mud KM2s and their wearing down much too fast. Seeing as how im not doing as much wheeling anymore i wanted to go back to an A/T.

I really love the look of the Pro comp Xterrains and i hear they arnt super loud either.

The Nitto Trail Grapplers really got ym attention but i dont see them listed in 16" rim sizes yet.. only 17 and up.

Has anyone had the goodyear wrangler terratory's? (spelling? lol) I saw them at canadian tire the other day and they looked sick, lots of tread and fairly agressive. However, still not sure if they have them in a 305/70/R16 yet.

I definately dont want the Nitto terra grapplers.. they arnt agressive enough for me and are far too overpriced in my oppinion.

Suggestions?

Yea I say the duratracs. Its pretty much the most aggressive an all terrain can get. My second choice would be the dick cepek fun countrys.

really? my buddies who work at discount are always bashing on goodyear for whatever reason as well and don't give them very much credit at all as a reliable tire. even though the dura's look meatyyyyy

your BFG KM2s shouldn't be wearing *that* fast... Try out the Mickey Thompson MTZs i think they last a while.

I can't say anything about the DuraTracs, but I sure do love my Goodyears! I have had a LOT of different tires and so far my MT/Rs have been my favorite tire all around. Goodyear makes a good tire.

Yea they're not a very good "daily driver" kinda tire.

It isn't that they are too aggressive or anything. I had Baja Claws at one time and they rode great, but I have never seen a set of Xterrains wear good or perform worth a crap.

Yea I'm saying they're not a good daily driver tire because they kinda suck on the street. Spin too easy and don't do too well in the rain from my experience.

Wheres the toyo's guys? I work at Les Schwab here in Oregon and honestly these perform better than any AT out there. they are rated for 50.000 miles( but mine have 30 already and still look new) you get into a 305 and these really have some pretty good size lugs on them. in the 5 years I've worked for Schwabs I have never once heard a complaint on these tires. people buy them set after set. i know you're wanting an at but toyo MT's wear like steel and ride extremely nice and quiet. a buddy had some 37's on his f150 street princess and he got 60k out of them and they werent even down to the wear bars yet.

for those looking for mt's check out the maxxis bighorns too! they are hundreds less than the huge name brands and I have seen how good they perform on and off road :)

anyways that's my two cents from my experience working with tires every single day.

I will say the nitto's are a good choice too!(fyi they are a part of toyo if you didnt know) they are really pretty close pattern wise to the toyo's!
