Michelin LTX M/S2 Tires

I'm driving a 2003, B2300, that had Continental Conti's 225/60R15 Tires as OEM. If you're in the same "league:" of wheel & tire size, I strongly suggest you jump in size to 235/75R15 in order to add:

Michelin LTX M/S2 tires. Read the TireRack reviews and folks getting 50K miles out of these tires. They're quiet on the road and since my truck is 2WD, the payload, and longevity was more important than aggressive grip. The 235 size uppped the payload I could handle over the OEM 225's. It also looks much better and adds about 1.25" in height.

I had the local Ford Dealer match Discount Tires price and then included me in their $70 Michelin rebate that Discount Tire is not offering.

Yes, they cost more than Kumho KR21's, but the previous owner had 9K on the front tires and they had lost 30% of their tread, so the Michelin's will pay for themselves.

My falkens last a lot longer than that. And I actually have traction when I leave pavement.

I have near 80,000 miles on my 31" Michelin M/S tires. They still have 5,000 to 10,000 miles left on them. I know the M/S2 tires are somewhat different but I would expect them to have near the same wear life.

I also have good traction when I leave pavement because I slap my 32" MT tires on for that service.
