i will be on dirt roads, acutally old logging roads that kinda stay soggy all year long in the swamp and climbing lil road ditches to park on the side of the road, so a little sand and mud, but its thick mud when its there

well I dont have any experience with the tires but it seems from the other responces that they arent too good...
I would stay away from ATs only because of what you said you will be doing. Even though the BFG AT is one hell of a good tire if you're going to be in muddy jumk all the time you may as well put the stockers on. Now the BFG MT... mmm thats just nice right there... tho quite expensive. There should be some other members on here that can chime in on what is the best MT for the price (may think about making a new thread with the title "Best MT Tire?" or something)

I have a friend that swears by his Procomp M/Ts, he had them on his 2wd Taco and he loved them, said that they actually did really well in the snow. He has a 07 4x4 Taco now and slapped some BFG A/Ts on it, but he's wishing he had the Procomp M/Ts now.
ANd, they are having a buy 3 get one free sale, too, I believe.

Well, I would only go up 2-3 inches from stock... I went from a 235/75-15 to a 31x10.50 that's only 29" tall and I'm only doing 57mph when the speedo reads 55mph.
The other matter is what rear differential gears you have. If you have really low gears, (3.23s or 3.55s) then you may not want to move up too much, say a 27" or 28" tire.
And if you have an auto transmission, it probably won't last you too long. I know Christian has had some problems with his (I'm not sure if its just the tires, tho) because he was running 32x11.50s with 3.73 gears.

as for the buckshots, unless those 3 are new id say no... its not the best of ideas to have 3 tires with lets say 60% tread and on brand new one on... let alone how lame thay would look

i have 3.73 and have open diff for the moment, right after i get my wheels and tires im going either LS or locker, really debating locker..and i am a 5 spd so that helps alil having control of a shorter 1st gear from the autos, and the buckshots have about 80% tread left, he had them on his jeep then sold it and kept the tires,
