33x12.5x15 with a 15x10 wheel. Do you want a more all-terrain tire or a mud tire?

All-terrain BFG ATs hands down
Mud tires I've heard good things about the Toyos, MT MTZs, Goodyear MT/Rs

It all breaks down to what you need and how much money you want to spend.

^^^^^What he said is right on.

I'd suggest something like a 3.5" backspace....3.75 or 3.25 backspace. Something around there. I've always rocked 12.50 tires on 8" rims on my other rigs. no problems.

BFG All Terrain hands down for a allterrain tire.

I've heard good things on the Mickey Thompson MTZ, Good Year MT/R, And have hands on experience with BFG Mud Terrians...lovethem. Great on the street : quiet, great on sand, rocks, snow....all around a great tire imo.

I've heard the BFG Muds get a little fishy on wet roads, but thats the only complaint. Any backspacing beween 3.25 and 3.75 will be perfect. I like 3.25ish myself.

No fishy here...and i live in rainy *** Oregon. I did have them siped though.....i heard bad things about mud terrain tires and water......involving hydroplaning. But I find these siped mud terrains are EXCELLENT compared to my siped+stock siped Toyo All Terrains.

sorry for the double post, what kind of fuel mileage do you get with your 33's? Will there be any problems with gearing, or my tranny i have a manual.

Well we both have 32s but with my 3.0 and 4.10 gearing I noticed maybe a 1-2mpg loss if that. Wasn't really much difference in power, nothing to care about. With 33s you might lose a couple MPG but its not anything to worry about.

Since you've got 4.10:1 in your ranger, it's all goooood for 33x12.50s. You won't notice much of a difference in mileage.
