Need advise

Well if you read some of my other posts, you should know that I got stuck.. Bad... And my grandpa has gone off the wall this time and wants to get rid of my BFG M/Ts. He thinks by doing that it will keep me on the road (whatever. I go wheeling in his prius when hes not looking... but i digress). SO what tires do yall recomend that would look ok-ish on my truck but at the same time wouldnt lead him to thinking they are offroad tires?

Are you still looking for mud tires? You could go with a AT, the Nittos don't look super aggressive but they hold their own offroad. Not so much in mud but what AT is good in mud

Just so you know BFG ATs aren't good in the mud...their decent but I wouldn't go do anything crazy with them. They are a great tire though

I would be pissed if someone told me I have to get rid of something I bought. I understand its your Grandpa but you bought the truck so you should make the ultimate decision to run the tires. My family told me not to lift it because its a little truck and would not be worth the value of the truck. . . . My lift will be on by sometime this Fall

Ya, I get the same thing from my dad but he is starting to realize that I am still gonna go play no matter what. If something breaks, I am gonna fix it.

I demand Prius flex pics.

I would look into Bridgestone Dueler Revos.

Or maybe Kumho Road Venture AT

Or GY Wrangler Silent Armor

Much tamer looking than BFG MT or AT, but still capable AT's that gramps might not mind.

If you had 16" rims and we was closer, I'd say lets trade.

You better tell him that if he's making you get new tires, that HE is going to pay for them.

Your 'rents sound totally whack.

I hear ya on the deal about him buying the truck and all. I'm in the same situation. The 12 months I have had my truck, it's been in my dad's name. When he gave it to me to drive, I wasn't allowed to mod it, change anything, do anything or whatever to it. Just drive it and maintain it. Well, I pissed my parents off pretty good by in the past year buying new rims and tires, lifting it, putting in a new headunit, new lights etc, and then pissed them off most of all by wheeling it a few times. However, the first things I did were removing the step bars and bug deflector and that just sent them off the wall.

So, as of Saturday the truck gets signed over to me finally and now I'm free whatever I want to do with it. Even though it does have 260k miles on it lol. However, in the past year, I have been responsible for all the costs of the truck, so it pretty much has been 'my' truck.

Yea thats pretty much the same deal with me. I pretty much had to ask my parents if I could mod the truck. But this summer its going in my name, so i'll finally be able to do whatever I want to it.
