Tires size on non lifted ranger
Hey guys,
Looking for some insight about tire sizes. I bough a 1996 ranger XLT extended cab 2wd with a 5 speed manual 4.0 OHV. It currently has 215/70R15 tires on it. It is time for new ones and I am wonder if a set of 31X10.5's will fit without lifting the truck?
Also the truck has a 3.08 hear ratio will is that too tall of a ratio for 31's?
The other ting I was thinking about was going with a 30X9.5 as it would a slightly easier to turn and although the narrowness may look a little funny we get a lot of snow up here but a narrower tires works much better in the snow anyways. Would this be a better option?
I am hunting for a 3.73 or a 4.10 with a L/S in it but they are hard to come across in Canada at a reasonable price.
Thanks,
Fraser
