I'm getting my new rims and tires mounted today. Anyways I was just wondering about the back spacing? The rims I bought were 15x8s and the stock ones were 15x7's. The back spacing on the new rims is 3 3/4". Is that the same as stock? what happends if its not how would I go about mounting these up to the truck? Thanks for the help!

 

stock is 15x7 with 4.5" bs

so yours will be 1" wider rim and stick out .75" more then stock wheels.. you wont have a problem mounting them

its possible it might rub on the valance, fender.... but there has been people that mounted 31's on coil spring trucks before

 

Yeah I hope not but its not too hard to do a little trimming. I'm going to the tire shop now to get the mounted and balenced. They gave me some bs about the tires being too big for them to put on the truck saying it was illegal and all of that. I told him to just mount and balance them then and I would put them on the truck.. haha idiots. Yeah if I had to I will just do a little trimming or just take the valance off. I'm not keeping it stock height for long anyways body lift is coming in a month or so. Thank you for the help man.

god people are dicks its just like mount them and put them on the truck like i said dont worrie about anything else

 

yeah lol its bs but the hard part is done pretty much just need to pop 'em on the truck. Payed 64 bucks for hte mounting and balencing which wasnt to bad. Home now and in the process of swapping everything out. They look so sick

 

Just for the record putting tires on trucks by hand with a floor jack is a PITA. Least its done now.
