they both are rough and not good for road use. just avoid most of interco tires for you daily driver. if you just get a play truck then thats where i would look. honestly if you want a aggresive but good riding tire go with maxxis bighorns or buckshots, they both do great in mud. i only buy bighorns cause i like then so much. but i also get a discount. also the bfg mud terrains would be great and be a good ride.

Get a set of nice mud terrains, don't get interco tires for a DD at all. Not fun.

x2

I love my LTBs off road, but as soon as I hit pavement with them I could swear they are square.

I had them but probably won't be going back to them unless there on a fullsize 3/4 ton truck.

yes.. but if you want them and don't care, go for it.

everyone's whining about the ride, personally i love the ride of aggressive tires, and the hum that comes along with them when your on the highway.

they'll last you probably a year, maybe a little more if you treat them right.

That's what i was about to say, and now they have 2 other tires that are more road friendly.

oh yea, and groundhog boy, besides them sucking, they cost $100 more a tire in a 36" size. Infact from 4WP you can buy a 39.5" TSL for less than a 36" groundhog.

I have never minded "humming" ever... its called balancing Interco are known for never balancing correctly.. Tires that do not run out properly can cause damage to the drivetrain due to vibrations its not just "ride"

NO as posted above i have dealt with those tires for about a year couldnt stand them... and no MT will have "a long life" they are made to be soft and wear out faster then AT

some will last longer than some all terrains, Nittos are pretty soft and so far my MTZs have had a longer life, but they also started out with more tread.

stay away from MTRs, they are a great tire but if you're looking for life they're a soft compound, and wont last as long.

I'm trying to think of a hard compound on a mud terrain, the MTZs aren't too soft, and the older style BFG muds tend to last pretty long.

RangerNVS has truxus MTs on his truck, you could PM him and see how they're doing.

I had a set of Interco's and only got them b/c they were used and given to me. I would never purchase a set. Before I got them they were only 3 months old and I got 6 months out of them. They should have been replaced 2 months before I finally did it. Had a nice looking set of 33'' drag mud terrains. Only tread left were the *****.

mud terrain and tread life

dont belong in the same sentence, thought or idea.

You want decent mud and tread life just find an aggressive A/T

once again, most mud terrains aren't made to last. don't buy one if you actually care.

a good performing tire(atleast in the crawling sense) has a soft compound to grip rocks and other things better. hence they won't last as long.

If you want the Swampers get the Irocks. They don't wear bad I put over 25k on mine had to take them off cuz my front end got way outa wack wore the fronts down real bad. Loud tire great in the mud and snow. Don't hadel bad in the rain and are just fine on dry pavement. Heck I ran 80+mph from my house in Jersey to our house just outside Tampa, Fl. Three times. Ran em out at the outerbanks, and beat the **** of them at home. I cant remember if I had the radials or not but the ranger is so light that they don't wear them out so quick. I Currently have 35" boggers with 7k on them and tread is barley showing ware.

Get the tires you want! A lifted truck should have an agressive mud tire on it not a pus*ywhipped a/t
