Did you use a clear coat? and How long ago did you paint the wheels? I'm curious as to how long that paint will hold up on the wheels. I've used it on many engine parts and its not the most adhesive paint I've ever used.

Pull the weights off and touch up the front. Maybe clear coat? Have them re-balanced with the weights on the back side.

It looks pretty good, but I also really like those stock wheels.

That looks really good I like them. As the others ask, how does it hold up and did you throw a clear coat on them? Also, once you wash the mud off, take a pic and see if they chipped or anything....i may do this on my winter set of wheels.

Me and my buddy have that engine enamel on our front suspension parts and rear axle and diff cover. if it holds up like it does on those then it should hold up pretty good. if it does does start to wear off its only like 6 bucks or so a can and just touch it up. My friend did this to a seat of wheels and he said they look good.

Those are Goodyear DuraTracs Goodyear Tires | SUV and Truck Tires | Wrangler DuraTrac

If they made those tires in a 35s I'd want to try them. The rims look really nice too! Good combo!!

Have them balanced using stick on weights. That way you get the advantage of having the weights on the front which is a much better balance job.

The tires are great so far and i would have much rather have them powdercoated but theres nowhere round here that will do it for a good price. Im getting paste on wheel weights.

They make them in a 315/75r16.. But you'd have to buy 16's then..

He has 16's. He has the same wheels as the OP. Those are by far my all time favorite wheels ford has made.

They look gorgeous. I have the same rims and have been considering something similar... Only I want to black the face and leave the cutouts and the ring normal.

I've also thought about flat black, too. The weight issue is something I hadn't thought of. Painting them would be fine, but every time you get your wheels rebalanced you get new weights and have to fXXX around with touching up the paint and painting them...

But yeah, looks real slick. I like it. The tires made me sexually aroused. XD

MothMan, how did you prep the wheels before painting them? Wash the wheels and spray or what?
