I am just simply wondering, What is the best mud terrain tire for the money?

Km2's great tire. Toyo mt is also a good tire.

 

My 31" Mud Dawgs by Summit are a good bit cheaper and in my opinion are comparable to BFG Mud Terrain tires.

 

arent km2 pretty expensive or atleast they are around here and evan online a 265/75/16 is around 240 a tire

 

How is Km2's noise level on the highway and such? I can't stand the whine that most mud terrains have over 50 MPH.

Not too bad. Obviously louder than stock/road tires, but its nothing a little volume control and flowmaster can't handle. I'd say its more of a growl than a whine....

 

Any mud tire is gonna make noise but that one of the 1st things I noticed about my KM2's was how quiet they are. I've had people ask me about them at the store or something saying they are thinking about them but think they might be to loud. I take them around the block and they are usually very surprised how quiet they are for what they are. And on the other end, I've been in few mud holes in 2wd and it goes thru pretty well, once all four of these are locked in they have never even acted like they wanted to be stuck so far.

 

KM2 still hum "a lot" and if you get 16” versions they are high on the load range, not for a small truck.
Stick to 15”...

 

i was thinkin bout getting a set of those bfg km2's , they look like they clean out well in the mud , but what are they like for life on the black top

 

Noisy, louder than most will tell you.
Ride is harder too.

I like the look, but there are better tires that will work for both off-road and DD tires.

 

they're great tires. I didn't have mine for too long because i totaled my truck but they hardly made any noise for the 3000 miles i had them. they do clean out really well, i can assure you that lol

your tires are load range E thats why they ride like that on a small truck....

 

I had km2 in both 285s load range e on my edge and 33 12.50 on my newer lvl 2. They are great tires quiet for how aggressive they are good in the rain and snow also. I had 22k on the 285s and they still had a ton of tread but I always rotate every 3k and get an alignment and blance every 10k. They also kick *** off road and they can dig like crazy. I have had other tires but I think the km2's are one of the best. My second choice would be toyo mts but they don't look as cool and they are great on road.

 

YEs they are “E” rated but why ?
What rim size ?
I could not find a KM2 with 16” rim that was less than the “E” Rating.
I bought what was available and believe me I searched.

 

The 285s are Load range e cause it's a popular size for the heavy-duty trucks like f250s and 2500s not meant to be on a ranger.

 

OK then… where do you find a 285x16 KM2 with a lower load range… ?
