Few questions for fitment. 05 Ranger

Ive been doing some research for new wheels and tires for my ranger. I

bought an 05 and id like to fit some nice wheels on it. Im looking at fitting 31s

on stock 4x4 suspension. Im new to trucks (coming from stanced tuners), so

ive been reading alot of forum posts, and I see some contradicting opinions.

The tires and wheels im eyeing up are 31x10.5 falken wildpeaks,

WILDPEAK H/T TIRE | Falken Tire

And the rims are 15x10 cragar soft 8s

Cragar 3975112, Cragar Black Soft 8 Wheels | Cragar

Some of the stuff I see says this will absolutely not work, some say its
a bad idea, some say its fine, others say it looks weird/bad.

Here is an example of similarly sized wheels and tires on a truck:

https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wh...-3-custom-rims

I really like the look of the truck. Im not a huge fan of the lift, but the wheel

package looks great. Do truck guys think this looks bad? If so, why? He has 15x10 rims on

31x10.5 tires. Will this setup fit on my truck without a lift? I like the look of

bigger tires without being lifted. If it rubs here and there at full crank so be it,

no big deal to me. Any feedback, opinions, or advice is welcome. I also have a

headlight question but that may need another thread. If I get some feedback Ill put up before

and after pics once it's finished.

Edit: Yes I want the tires to poke.

Yes you can do it... However the tire is recommend for wheels no wider than 9 inches. With a bigger sidewall, stretching runs the risk of blowing the bead easier. Saying all that Ive never seen any problems on a street truck.

I would imagine everything should clear for the most part.

Thanks. I've decided to go with 15x8 on the 31 wildpeaks. I had the idea of trying to fit 33s for the 15x10s floating around, but looking at alot of pictures has walked me back down, so to speak. BUT, will these poke enough? I'd like to be around 1-2" poke. Should I look into spacers? Or are they garbage and be better off with different rims? Those cragars sure are good looking though!

Those cragars might come out to the edge of the flare. Little to no "poke"

Hmm,

I found black rocks with 3.75 bs.

Black Rock 997581237, Black Rock 997-Series Type 8 Wheels | Black Rock

Ive also found these custom rims, never heard of the brand, but they are steel and at 3.4 bs

https://www.customwheeloffset.com/bu...=5x4.5,5x114.3

Further reading has put me off spacers.

Just as info I have an 07 FX4 II with stock 15x7 Alcoa wheels that I run BFG 33x10.5R15 Mud Terrain tires with. Stock suspension, didn't want to do a lift, and IMO it looks great. Ride is like original. Some guys say the whls look skinny but I think it looks great. Goes through mud and snow like butter. Best of luck.
