IMO you should upgrade to a 15" rim, there are more tire choices out there for 15s vs 14s

if you go with a 15", the biggest tire you could use would be a 30-9.5 IIRC

ya upgrade to a 15in rim...even if u got black 15x8 steelies.. they are like 43$/each.. which isnt bad.. plus whatever tire u get.. i got my steelies for like 186$ out the door.. hell while you at it.. upgrade to a 8.8 4.10LS rear axle

i'd like to keep the 14in rim. I'm not paying extra money to upgrade to a 15.

just an FYI there isnt a whole lot of choices out there for 14 inch rims, so your options will be very limited

but if you're still stuck on keeping the 14 inchers just look around to find a tire that you like available in the 14 inch size and make sure that it isnt over 30 inches, IIRC that is the max size for most 2wd rangers

Yeah I think the biggest tire for a 14" rim is a 31" super swamper. Other than that maybe a 30" tire if you're lucky. If you want anything bigger then you'll have no choice but to upgrade to a 15" rim.

get some 29" bfg a/t's.
should fit fine, i ran 29's on my truck without a lift, hell i ran the 31's without a lift also, but it rubbed on the wheel well.

theres no way 31's are going to fit on a stock 1996 2wd ranger. they came with 28's stock.

get cheap steeles or some Soft 8's, get 31's and put a BL on before all of it and have bigger tires that will actually do something.

hey guys. i found a good deal on tires and wheels by me.
4 bfg ats on 15'' wheels for a good price.
but they are 31x10.5.......
if i took my front bumper plastic gray valence off,
and moved the chrome bumper up more to eliminate the gap,(this would add some space in the front wheels well for sure)
would it be possible for them to fit???
