How to adjust front wheel bearing
I have already change my 4 front wheel bearings in my 2wd B3000.
I check my chiltons book and said somethnig about 17-25 in lb.
Honestly I have the torque tool for Ft/lb., I do some math and the results are
1.66 ftlb max.
My tool doesn't work this low.
Some mechanics do this without any torque tool.
But I'm afraid to let them too loose or screw the nut too tight and riun the new ball bearings.
I Need some help???
Its stange I change the bearings but the noise still, everybody ask me for the tires, they are new, with 32 psi. (Bridgetone Dueler AT).
Also they are balanced, and aligment.
Could be the tires?
Any advise!!!!

You might try rotating your tires. I know it sounds off the wall, but I had a similar problem on my m/t's and that solved it. It was way before the milage said they needed it, but the truck said otherwise!
I don't understand what you mean by adjusting the front bearings though. I repack mine a couple times a year, which it sounds like you're already familiar with. When they go bad, the outside rollers will fall apart and make a horrible grinding sound.. so make sure to check em every once in awhile so that doesn't happen!

well the tire are new i bougth it last week.
The truck is well balance and well aligment.
The front bearings were check and changed.
The noise still!!! even more when you make turns.
I really dont think are the tires, why? because the noise comes from one side only;\
the front passanger side...
What do you think now?

I took the truck to a mechanic yesterday, he work for the Ford.
He told me averything is ok, the noise comes from the tire, as the road change, the corners of the tires run in the road, the sound come from this as he said. He told me is nothing to wrry about it.
But I still thinking something must be wrong because I heard the noise from one one tire and only one side.
Honestly I'm regretful from this tires you know very disapointed.
Some thing must be wrong because all other pickups use this same shape or models, you imagine every one with this problem?

Yeah the noise is probably the tire. It happens all the time. Try rotating them. As for tightening wheel bearings personally I take a pair of channel lock pliers and twist the nut until it's snug not tight then make sure the rotor turns smoothly. If you use a socket you will overtighten it. If you need to find out if it's right or not put the wheel back on and wiggle it up and down and from side to side to see if there is excessive play in it. If there is move it another 1/8 of a turn. I've never ever had a problem that way on Fords, Dodges, or GM's.
