Would this be a good Replacement tire???

Tire: Uniroyal Liberator AT.
Warrenty: 50,000mile treadwear.
Size: P255/70R16.
Price: $78.22ea.
Total Price 4 mounted and balanced: $370.60.
Place: Walmart.

My ranger is going to need new tires very soon. I was looking at tires at my local walmart tonight and this model caught my eye. It was their second most aggressive tire in stock right behind the genaric MT they sell (my buddy had a pair of them MT on his ZR2 and didn't like them so much). My stock size is P245/75R16 but the new OEM size for the 06 rangers on the dealer lot with my same rim style are P255/70R16. I like the look and stance that size tire gave the 06 rangers. I think this tire would fit the bill nicely. Any comments or suggestions? Does anyone have these tires on their ranger?

my brother had some on his f150, and they were decent for a cheap(er) tire.

You should look for 31 inch tires. They will fit your truck no problem and look very nice stock.

Well it looks like I would be buying them from walmart, and getting them put on some where else. They won't install non oem size tires on any vehicle. I'm now thinking of saving my money, and buying something more aggressive, but not a full mud terrain. I have kinda narrowed it down to a couple of tires.

-BFG All terrains T/A KO
-Bridgestone dualler revos
-Nitto Teragrappers
-Micky thompson ATZ.

Any reviews on any of these tires. And I'm thinking of going with a LT245/75R16 Load range C or D.

I had those tires on my S10 when they had just Liberator all terrain on the side wall. They were a decent tire and the tread was very similar to the BFG A/T at the time. It looks as if they have changed some. I had no complaints frome them at all.

I work at wal-mart they are pretty good tires for the money, we sell a lot of em. and it's BS they will put on non oem tires, there is just a disclaimer you have to sign. we put a set of 265/75r16 bfg on a ranger last week with no rub at stock height.

I bought the tires today, and had my buddy throw them on at his work for free, so I'm pretty happy about that. Hopefully I get some good use out of them.
