Tirepackage.com BFG's and MTs deal
#8
Here's my advice...from plenty of balancing/tire experience.
Buy JUST the rims online...from summit (they are cheapest)
But some equal or dynabeads (because stick on weights were a PITA for me...and they fall off...also account for human error, not many tire shops around me knew HOW to balance a "larger" tire)
Buy the tires locally...if anyone didn't know this, tires ARE negotiable on the price. I didn't know that until my gf's dad told me (he works for John Henry...owner of the redsocks, he does commodities). Get em down about 20 bucks a tire...just have them mount em...
Thats how I would do it, if I had to do it over again.
Seing as I would have paid the same price, and I would have had a hell of a lot less aggrivation
40 for balancing at Tire Kingdom
63 " " at Coral Springs Automotive
44 " " at Sears
70 for dynabeads
50 for new rim (bent) from summit
total of 267 more than I origionally paid.
Origional price...
200 for rims from Summit
500 for tires from 4wp
So I could have got MT Classic II's and bought tires at the tire shop (tire rack) for 600 (100 more than I paid) and get the "piece of mind" that I can reject a tire that rides bad or is out of round, etc.
So If I would have done it the way I reccomend, I woulda saved 100 bux even with the beads and all...and MT classic II's (15x10's too)
