removing spare tire

honestly should be an easy job but it looks like you need some sort of key. im trying to install a reese hitch and i would assume i need to remove that damn tire. help please. even if thers some way i can ni**er rig it. I JUST NEED TO TAKE IT OFFFFFFFF UGHH

Did your truck not come with the key to unlock it, check your glovebox? I think your talking about that little lock over your spare tire crank?

Should just be the crank arms to lower it. Stick them through the hole under the tailgate and twist. I never had any kind of lock on mine.

well somethin pry did come with it but i bought it used, and yea. but what do you mean by crank arms i see the hole your talking about

Stick the rods in it that are in the cab with the jack. Look in your manual.

take all the small rods, put them together to make one long rod(with the "S" type crank at the end. take the end that is pointed and insert in thru the opening just above the rear bumper. when fully inserted, start to crank it slowly. it may take some work to get it started, but keep trying.

alright i got it ya i just took the crank arm stuck it in that hole and it lowerd it, thanks. lol i always wondered what that hole was for
