285/75/16

I've decided to get the nitto terra grapplers and i was just wondering if i can fit 285/75/16's on the stock tear drop style wheels. i have a big vision for them that i dont want to share until i do it so people can copy me lol but i want to make sure they will fit the rims before i go out and buy them

the 285/75 is 11.2-11.5" width, i believe, so o would think the stock wheels should be fine.

Are you planning on doing a body lift? If you arn't then you will not have any problem with them. If you are you are going to rub your rear box. I have a buddy who is running 285's on his stockers with a body lift, and they have no problems.

I was running 285/70-17's with just a slight t-bar crank with no rubbing and no problems, mount em up and take pics already!

I'm running 285's right now..

I think you will be better off with a 8" wide wheel verses the stock 7"

The tires will balloon slightly more on a 7, I could see more rubbing, Posibbly even frame rub..

a 3 inch BL. would be good to have..

I'm also running 285's I believe my rim measures 7.5" wide, I was concerned when I bought my tires as well, but no problems so far, I'm very happy with my choice of tire size. Hope this helps.

I would really go for an 8in rim. I had that same size on my stock tear drops and the tires balloned and it wore the center of the tire prematurley.

Go with the 8's.
