so i got a set of fx4 rims 16x7 what size tires should i get. i want a lower profile tire but not to low because the roads out here in rochester stink....

 

go with somethin like a 265/60....a nice wide tire, with some sidewall for the added comfort of driving

 

so it would be 265/16/60

 

Nope, 265 is the width in mm. 60 means that one side wall is 60% of the tires width. The 16 is the rim diameter in inches. So convert the 265 to inches. Multiply by 1.2 and add 16. You've got the tire diameter. And the tire would be 265/60R16.

 

yea, what he said lol....the 265 (width) would make for a nice wide stance, the 60 (sidewall height) would make for a slightly low profile, kinda, but wouldnt be so small that it would ride rough

whooo hoo i just snagged new tires for the truck...225/55/16... not to bad all 4 for 288.... if anyone is intrested in my current tires on the truck let me know... ill get pics and all that....id prefer local pick u unless some one knows of a good way to ship em... i can tell you that my current tires arent even a yr old yet. They are hancook all season radial....bought them for $400 looking to get at least $250.... pics if anyone is intrested.

same brand i have on the truck now...hancook...not anything special but i was impressed with the set i have now... they are all season and even ran them through the winter and didnt have a roblem slipping....
