Tires for a ford ranger
Hello I am new to the forum and I am getting ready to start upgrading my Ranger. I want to put more aggressive tires on it. So id have to sell my current tires. They are about two months old with less than 5000 miles on them they are highway tires they are name brand i forgot the brand though. What could i get for them do you think? What is a good brand of all terrain tires I'd like to stay under $800 for tires. How big can i go and not rub the tires on the truck. Thanks

I'm only going off of what the top right of your post says.... which is 2004 4x4.

Assuming you've got stock sized tires now, they should be 245/75R16 or 255/70R16 on 16" rims. If you're wanting to keep your wheels, I would bump to a 265/75R16. Gives it a nice beefy stance without any adverse effects of adding larger tires.
I hear good things about Falken Wild Peak A/T and Goodyear Duratrac tires. Discount Tire lists them at $145 and $197 respectively. The Goodyears carry the snow flake emblem meaning they're a traction tire and can be considered a winter traction device. Another good option is the tried and true BFG All Terrain price at $199.

With a full tbar crank and maybe a little bit of trimming. But expect them to rub a little. My vote would be the goodyear duratracs. If I was going to get an a/t tire, that would be it.
