ok so im tired of my crappy stock tires and im looking at getting some new ones but i need suggestions on which one to get... i have narrowed my choices down to the BFG AT
and the Cooper Discoverer ST
i want to get a larger size but i dont know what will fit on the truck... i know the 31x10.5x15 will fit but can i fit anything bigger without a lift?

Christian Im sorry ,but you are wrong.
John has the Sure/Trac or whatever the ST.. NOT the mud tire.

For myself a tire choice consists of many things. You wont
go wrong with either of those tires.
If you want additional suggestions.
Bridgestone Revos
Toyo Open Country All-Terrains(what I have and like)

If you do much off roading at all the BFG's come with a warranty that BFG introduced for their line of all terrains and mudterrains last summer its a three year/36,000 Adventure Warranty...you get stuck with their tires on your truck...they will tow you out for free.....had a huge influence on me buying what I have now...

This 'Adventure Assurance' program of BFG's (link) sure is interesting! I hadn't heard of it. It's pretty crazy that they'll offer to pull you out of any place you get stuck, no matter what! Although there has to be some fine print. I notice it says "With a couple of decades of experience supplying premier off-road tires to extreme enthusiasts, we know we have to look out for the service providers too, so service will depend solely upon safe tow truck access to the scene as determined by the service provider." .. But still, that's one helluva perk!

Here is another great Cooper tire
I bought a set if these in 32/11.5/15 for $530 OTD price included lifetime mount, ,balance, rotation and 3year nation wide road hazard back in feb of this year.
I to was looking For the Cooper S/T, BFG A/T and BS Revos. I shopped all the shops in town for 31's the cheapest I found the just for the tires installed nothing extra
*BFG A/T=$650 at Discount Tire
*Bridgestone Revos=$750 (buy3 get 1 free) at Firestone
*Cooper Discoverer S/T=$500 also special order http://www.leontire.com/
When I called looking for the S/T's he didnt have any in stock but offered me the 32" LT's for the same price as 31"S/T's SO I went to the shop liked what I saw and walked out with the tires above.
As for street manners traction wet and dry its a night a day diffrence for the better. For offroad the only place I've tried them is at the beach in all types of sand. the only sand I've had problems with was wind blown powder type of sand.

i have both sets of coopers the st and the lt both are a great tires
for the bfg can't see where they would be cheaper than the coopers
did the stock size in the st for winter for 435.00 out the door mounted and balanced
the LT cost was the same for 270/r 16
both tires are great traction and the wear is great on them two
i think the lt has a 50,000 mile wear out warranty
