ok so im planning on getting 32 1050's or 33 1150's and was wondering if there will be that big of a difference on the stress of my engine (v6 3.0) and my gears (3.73) i would prefer the 33s...also is teh weight of the tire or the actual diameter of the larger tire that stresses the engine ,ore...thanks

 

It's not a direct answer to your question... but last night I measured both of the ones I have.

The stock 255-70-16s on stock FX4 rims weigh 53lbs & measure 93.75" circumference. (29.84 diameter)

And a 32x11.5x15 BFG TA on a Level II alcoa weighs 59lbs & measures 97.75" circumference. (31.11 diameter)

On my 3.0 I didn't really notice a difference switching to 32x11.5. I have 4.10 gears though.

 

The real thing to look out for is braking. The heavier the wheel/tire the longer it'll take to stop. Or... the heavier you'll have to brake to stop in the same distance.
