New tires on an 05 stx
Ok ive been reding and researching for a couple days now and i think i have found on my choice. Currently i have p225/70 R 15
I am planning on getting 17 inch by 7 inch mazzie spinks rims with:
p235/65 R17 tires - 0 offset(which brand im not sure yet, but looking to spend about $200 a tire.....any ideas would be much appreciated)
What kind of different handling can i expect, as it currently does not handle that great in the rain. My Q -
IWith these tires I will have an extra 0.4 inches of width, an extra 2.26 inch of diameter, and going from a -12 offset (stock)to a 0 offset.
Should i expect these tires to slip around a bit more in the rain and snow (i live on van island so rain is the real issue) or will a good tire make it neglible.
The current stock tires leave a big gap in the wheel well so im hoping with the extra 2.26 inch in diameter that i will have no rubbing over bumos and so on, as it appears to have about 4 inches of clearance a side.
thnx for reading my story

Okay, well luckily for you i'm sober.
So, you never specified what type of tire you're going for.
Basically:
Performance tires - great handling and siped for rain
All terrain tires - offroad performance and siped for rain
mud terrain tires - offroad performance, bad on ice and rain
Wrangler RTS tires- a certain brand which are terrible, dont buy,
I have 15x10 wheels and my ranger doesn't really act much differently. Your rear end will always slide out because it is a truck, very lightweight.
