Confused about lift? Will putting a pa 3 inch body lift on my truck let me run 33's?

I just turned 16 and got my license and got a 01 ranger 4x4 extended cab step side bed with the 4.0l v6. Im lookin to lift my truck but i dont have a boat load of money. After reading alot i think that im gonna go with the pa 3 inch body lift. If i do this can i still get the interco super swamper Trxus radials 33x12.5x18 and the kmc gtx 18x10 black rims. Would the tires rub? how bad would the tires ride on the road? and what size backspace would i need to get on the rims? the 6.09 backspace with 15mm offset or the 7 inch backspace with 38mm offset? Please help me out here. Thanks

dude your nuts! those wheels and tires are gona cost a **** TON of money! are you going for look or trying to wheel your truck? Swampers are a wheeling tire, and those rims are kinda for show, if you want show, dont go with the swamper cause they will ride horrible. Now if your trying to go off road with your truck, youll want a 15-16 inch rim which is better for offroad... to summarize, if you dont have alot of money, an 18 inch tire and wheel package is not for you! look for 15-16s...

No the reason i said that is becouse i already have the tires. My uncle bought them for his ram but they were to small so he bought 35s and kept the rims and gave me the 33's. I really like the tires and they arnt that bad, Theyre radials so they dont humb or nothin, But the gtx rims were what i was thinking about gettin since the tires are 33x12.5x18s and you have to run 18s on them. Im not gonna be solid off road i mean i live in the city so ill only be off road on the weekends so i need something that would ride nice on the road and thats what these swampers were made for the road but i wasnt sure on which backspace size i would need.

If you're 16 and don't have/want to spend a butt load of money, then why are you even considering about a $2000 wheel/tire combo!?!?!?? Let alone lifting your truck...

You should be looking at 15" wheels and tires. The combo is going to be less than half the price of that 18" setup. 15" alloy wheels can be had for $75-150 each. Those 18's are nearly 300 each. I had a hard enough time getting a spare $200 to buy used 265's when I was 18. Of course I had the truck payment, insurance to pay for too...

Backspace on a 10" wheel on these trucks needs to be in the ballpark of 3.5" to 5". Any more backspace and it'll be too sucked in. Any less, it'll push the tire out so far that you'll run the risk of rubbing the fender while turning.

EDIT: Oh yeah....3" BL and 33x12.50s are about the most common setup on these 98+ 4x4's...hands down. TONS have it. You're good to go depending on wheel choice(width and backspace).

thanks for the backspacing info, and the reason for the wheel and tire combo is becouse i already have the tires. my uncle gave them to me becouse he said they looked to small on his ram. And i have over 4000 grand in the bank so i think ill be fine i just dont wont to pay 2000 for a 4 inch suspenison lift right now.

Get 15's and other 33's. Sell the swampers.

If you don't have much money, look for U.S. Wheels or Cragar Steel wheels. ~70$ each. And 33's will be ~200$ea

since u already have the tires then buy some wheels if u like the look of 18's....i have them on my truck because i got a set of 1/2 tread 32's on 18's for $140 so i couldnt turn it down...but i would never buy 18's...but since u already have the tires its understandable. u could probably sell the super swampers for enough to buy other tires and them buy some 15's and it would be way cheaper on ur part.....at $200 bucks a tire and another $100 bucks a wheel for 15's u could get new tires and new wheels for the price of just those 18 wheels....and then sell those swampers and make some money...look on summit racing for wheels...u can get a good looking wheel for $100 each
