tsl sx vs. rockers

im looking for new tires and im not sure what to go with. iv basically got it down to two, super swamper tsl sx or pitbull rockers. im looking for mostly a good deep mud tire. iv heard a lot of good things about the sx's for mud. iv heard a lot of good things about the rockers but not so much in the deep. anyone of any experience or input on these? or do you suggest another tire? i dont want to run boggers.

im looking in the 38" range.

iv been searching over at pirate and most people only use the rockers for rock. same with beard, he doesnt like the mud. iv heard a lot of guys saying they work well in all conditions, but not too many have tried them in really thick deep mud. most people say to stick with a swamper, but they've never ran rockers in that stuff.

I have tsl's and i love them! we dont have a ton of rocks around here so i cant say anything about that. But in the mud, they are awsome! Great in the deep stuff and the really slick mud. I also have a set of irok's and i love them just as much as the tsl. the irok has better road manner though.

seems like everyone who has tsl's love them. im really leaning towards those. i heard that the iroks get chewed up really easy and wear pretty fast.

TSL's are the way to go for deep mud if you dont want boggers. Alot of the pure mud boggers up here run the SX's or the TSL's.

The pibull just isnt designed as a mud tire. Mostly rocks

Between those 2 go with the SXs. About the IROKs, I had a set of 36" Bias on my fullsize Bronco. Never had ANY problems with them getting chewed up. Hell, I even lost the same tire twice and it met my rear rocker panel and bumper and you couldn't even tell. I ran them for 3 years without rotating and with no alignment and one is bald as hell, 2 have about 30% and one is just hitting the wear mark. And with that alignment, I ran brand new BFG ATs bald on the outside in 7 months when the back 2 were basically new. IROKS have my vote all day long. Only got stuck twice and I'm ***** to the wall with that truck.

Went and looked at pictures adn got them put on 3-05-06, left for Afghanistan 02-08 and brother drove it for 9 months while I was deployed, put the ATs on on 11-10-08. ATs came off bald on 7-26-09, and IROKS went back on until 4 weeks ago. I put about 35,000miles on them total, with one rotation when they went on the 2nd time

yeah from everything I have heard is that the rocker is not the greatest deep mud tire. I'm guessing it will hold its own but I would think the TSL would be the better mud tire
