32's and 3.73's

so right now with stock 235 75r 15's(36lbs) my truck does fine, I want to know if I upgrade to 32's(47lbs), will it be a dramatic difference? And some specs on the truck:2000, 4.0, automatic, 4x4.

Thats about what I have with the 3.slow and I dont mind it. I do have a 5 speed, I went from 2700 rpm cruising to 2100 rpm cruising at 65 mph. I'm getting 26 mpg on the freeway instead of 23.

Yeah, hills and passing require 4th or maybe 3rd gear, but I think you will have no issue with more power and an autotragic.

LOL you fail! He's got a 4.0

I've ran 3.73's and 265/75/16's (metric 32's) for 2 years in my truck without any issues. Mind you I do have a manual tranny, so that makes a difference. It will be a change, and its just something I have lived with.

no it wont be to hard on the tranny.

and i love my 3.55s and 32s. i get amazing highway mileage, although my city mileage does suck. i tow a 5,000 lb boat with it too and it pulls fine

Should be fine. I had around a 31 inch tire on my 4.0 with 3.73s for a year and it was good, until i lifted it 35's w/ 4.88 yukons.

It's not bad around town, but if you do any driving above ~70, overdrive (or 5th gear) won't hold well on inclines. Lot's of downshifting. That's why I switched to 4.56s.
