Which wheel finish would stand up the best over time through the winters:
Polished?
Chromed?
Painted?
Clearcoated polished?
Natural aluminum?

 

It depends on how often you are going to wash them during the winter also.

 

Well I know that polished aluminum needs alot of upkeep but a comment I heard is that the polished aluminum rims will take a beating in winter but can allways be brought back by polishing and that chrome wheels take less upkeep but the finish can rust and flake off. Is that true?

 

I think the natural aluminum, just spray down with the etching cleaner and hose off. I took the clear coat of the 4 sets of jeep rims. First chance I get I'll be doing the Ranger rims.

 

Painted probably will.

 

Teflon!!!!
