getting 33x12.50 tires, backspacing?

alright, so ive got the plastic flares on my 06, and im upgrading to 33x12.50 tires soon, grabbing up some cheap pro comp steelies, sized 15x8

now, what backspacing do i need to not rub, and to not stick out past the plastic flares. want it to be as flush as possible.

would the 3.75" backspacing be what i want?

p.s. i will be having a 3" body lift on as well

Stock backspacing is 4.5" so keep it close to that.

3.5 is perfect for that size tire. 3.75 should be good as well.

Keep us updated.

Even if it rubs a little bit, you might be able to trim the plastic slightly.

swaybars aren't made of plastic. the higher the backspacing, the greater the chance of it rubbing on the swaybar or the frame.

Will it really rub on the frame? I have heard (once in a blue moon) about the tires hitting the sway bar.

if you have a deep enough backspacing. backspacing is basically the distance from the face of the hub to the inside edg of the wheel. so higher it is further back it'll sit in the wheel well.

My tires rubbed on my frame at full lock. But I didn't do anything about it and didn't really care either.

just a thought with a 16 you could use 285/75-16's they work out to be 33/10.50-16 with stock rims. but hay if the tires are cheep go with the back space.

06, level II, locker, 2" lift, 285/75-16 (thin little tire) no rubbining, no frame contact, full turn to turn, 11 ' body with 9.75 tread stock, rim no extra preload on bearings, 15/12.50-15's 12.5" body 10.8 tread total tread surface gain 1" per tire 4" total really is it worth it?
