Comfortable Tire

I do mostly highway driving, still have 15" wheels, I switched out the continentals that were stock and went to Bridgestone Dulers, I tell you, I feel every bump in the road, I put Bilstein shocks on it and still not really an improvement. Is there a more confortable tire out there that is a little more shock absorbing than these Bridgestone's, don't get me wrong its a good tire and good tread life but a very stiff ride. I lowered the pressure a little and still no change. Thanks

what ply are your Bridestones? 6, 8, 10? the higher number, the more harsh the ride.
i know, because my goodyear all terrains are 10 ply (i got them for $120 back in 2005 and needed tires badly)

The load rating effects ride as well. For the Ranger you would be fine with a C load range, if you have E you'll notice a difference in your ride.

Have you had your wheels rebalanced too? My BFGs rode great. It rode like before though when the balance on the wheels and tires was off. Driving 3000 highway miles with everything rattling and vibrating sucks so much

ya i agree on the load range. My nittos are load range D and i have them aired to 30 psi like the door says and they are amazing. Better than the stockers (blah goodyear).

Have a link? What tires are you looking at? Size?

BFG Long Trails and Micheline LTX both ride nice. My dad has the Michelines on his F-150 and they ride really nice. My mom has the BFG Long Trails and they ride great too. She has 115k miles on her suv and she is only on her second set that still have 1/2 tread left. They sure do last!

If you click on Load Range on the left hand side it brings you to this page Tire Tech Information - How to Read Speed Rating, Load Index & Service Descriptions

Load Range C tires are 6 ply according to Tire Tech Information - Load Range/Ply Rating Identification

P tires will have a number, the lower the number the softer the ride.
LT tires have a letter and C is pretty much the lowest.

You can also search around the web and find tires that other people recommend for a nice ride. Your local tire dealer should also be able to hook you up with some info. When I ordered tires fromt he Tire Rack the guy on the phone was really knowledgeable. Check a few sources to ensure you make a good choice.

Bilstein shocks are more firm than stock too, so you will feel more bumps but it will not bounce around. You said you lowered the tire pressure, how much are you running now?
Have you checked for worn out balljoints or anything?
